Applications: MOLACID® SER is a non-essential amino acid used in pharmaceutical and nutritional formulations. It is used in tablets, capsules, oral powders, granules and oral liquid formulations as an amino-acid supplement. In selected protein, peptide and lyophilized formulations, serine may function as a stabilizing or protective formulation component. It may also be included in intravenous amino-acid solutions and parenteral nutrition to provide a source of nitrogen. It acts as a building block for protein synthesis and contributes to normal amino-acid metabolism.
