It is also used in specialty formulations requiring high purity picolinic acid.

SPECIFICATION

1 Description It occurs as White to off white crystalline powder.
2 Solubility Freely soluble in water and glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in alcohol and methanol.
3 Melting range 135°C -139°C.
4 pH (1% solution) 3.0-4.0.
5 Water content by KF Not more than 0.5 %.
6 Sulphated ash Not more than 0.1%.
7 Assay Not less than 99.0% on dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLACID® PICO is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
