MOLACID® LYS is an organic compound, is also known as Lysine. It occurs as white crystalline powder. It is primarily used as a nutritional ingredient and, in selected pharmaceutical formulations, contributes to taste and palatability improvement. Lysine is required for protein synthesis and supports normal tissue growth and maintenance.

Applications: MOLACID® LYS is used in pharmaceutical and nutritional formulations as an amino acid supplement and formulation ingredient. It is incorporated into oral powders, sachets, tablets, capsules, oral liquids, syrups, and nutritional preparations. In suitable oral formulations, it supports taste management and palatability while providing nutritional lysine. Its use as a lubricant is not a primary function.

1 Description It occurs as white or almost white, crystalline powder or colourless crystals.
2 Solubility It is Freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol (96 %).
3 Sulfates Not more than 300 ppm.
4 Loss On Drying Not more than 0.5%.
5 Assay Not less than 98.5% and not more than 101.0% on dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLACID® LYS is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
